This is the result of the standard port scan which institutes a broad sweep looking for open ports to which an exploit can be attempted. SELinux won’t stealth them, but make it look as if there are no ports there unless one is targetted. The Fedora Core 4 distro system messages are a lot more descriptive now, as the above example indicates a “known hack” was in progress, meaning the OS is aware of any number of previous exploits in this area.
