Knoppmyth Tweaks for a Win TV Go Plus Capture Card

For those struggling to figure out Knoppmyth and using a Hauppage Wintv Go Plus I thought it would be good to relate some experiences here.

I was unable to get anything from /dev/video0 until I added this line to /etc/modprobe.conf –

options bttv card=10 pll=0 tuner=39 automute=0

This brings the card to life. As well when you are setting up your card type, choose analog if you want it to work correctly. Unlike the PVR-350 or 500, the Go Plus is a Brooktree 878 chipset, but only deals with analog passthrough, and doesn’t convert on the fly to mpeg. You end up with long .nuv files which can exported to .mpg files by invoking the nuvexport utility.
